Club Rules
These Rules and Regulations are adopted by the Owner (as such term is defined in the Capital Club Bylaws) in accordance with the Club’s Bylaws. It is the intention of the Club to limit these Rules and Regulations to the minimum required for the mutual enjoyment of the Club by its Members and their Guests. The obligation of enforcing these Rules and Regulations for the good of all Members is placed primarily in the hands of a carefully selected and trained staff. Their principal responsibility is to assure you of all the courtesies, comforts, and service to which you, as a Member of a fine club, are entitled. It is furthermore the duty of the Membership of the club to know these Rules and Regulations and to cooperate with the Club staff in their enforcement.
Members are asked to report any violation of the Rules and Regulations. Members violating these Rules and Regulations are subject to such action as deemed necessary in accordance with the Club Bylaws. Continued violation of the Rules and Regulations may lead to suspension and ultimate expulsion as provided in the Club Bylaws.
GENERAL POLICIES
Children:
Dependent children of Club Members between 12 and 16 years of age may use any of the Athletic Center provided, that they are properly supervised by a parent (or other adult Member). Dependent children of Club Members under the age of 12 may use only the following facilities and only if supervised by an adult Member (parent): Bowling alley, Squash Courts, Swimming Pool, Table Tennis, Tennis Tourt and Children’s Activity Room. Children participating in Club sponsored programs under the supervision of Club employees need not be supervised by a parent while engaged in such activity.a
Children under 16 years of age are not permitted in the main Dining Room during lunch hours of 11:30 through 14:00 Monday through Friday.
Club Entry:
All Members, including dependent children, are asked to show their Membership cards and register at the reception desk prior to using the Athletic Center or at the Podium prior to entering the dining room(s). By showing your card each time you use the Club, you help the staff to learn your name and help us prevent non-Members from using the Club facilities.
Reservations:
Reservations are strongly recommended.
All Club private dining rooms are available on a first come, first served basis.
For the health and safety of Members and Guests, at no time can food or beverages be brought onto the premises other than the purchased by the Club from approved suppliers. Liquor and wine may be served with a pre arranged corkage fee.
Appointments are strongly recommended for the following Athletic Center services: initial Athletic Center introduction, personal training, sports and games instruction, golf driving range, bowling, billiards, table tennis, mahjong, and all courts(tennis, squash etc.) use time. You may also reserve the Ballroom, Dancing Studio and Video Room (an hourly fee will be charged).
As a courtesy to fellow Members, appointments can only be made one week in advance for all athletic facilities. Appointments may be made through our reception desk. If you wish to cancel an appointment, please give the Athletic Center 12 hours notice; otherwise, you will be charged a cancellation fee equal to one-half(1/2) of the charge (if any) for the cancelled service.
A reservation will be held for 15 minutes after the initial reservation time. If you do not arrive within 15 minutes, you will lose your reservation, the time may be given to another Member and you may be charged a cancellation fee.
Mobile Phones:
For the comfort and enjoyment of your fellow Members, use of mobile phones are not permitted in the Dining Room, Fitness Center and during the classes in the Ballroom.
Gratuities: (Tipping)
All food, beverages and services rendered are acknowledged by signing the ticket with your name and Membership number. An automatic Government tax and surcharge is added to each ticket as a service charge. Tipping to any Club employee is prohibited and will cause immediate disciplinary action to the employee accepting such a tip.
Guest Usage:
While the Capital Club is an exclusive Club, we encourage Members to introduce their friends and associates to the Club.
Guests may use the Club, but only if accompanied by a Member. In the event that the Member can not accompany the guest to use the Club, the Member has to write an authorization letter to the Club Manager in advance to get approval to allow the guest to use the Club。The guest privilege can only be extended three (3) times per calendar year per member.
There is no guest fee for entertaining a guest in the Club’s dining rooms or bar. The host Member will be charged a fee for each use of Athletic Center facilities by a guest. No guest fee will be charged for children 3 years old and under. Members are responsible for Guest’s actions and liable for any incidents.
If a member wishes to bring six or more guests to the Athletic Center at one time, the Member must make prior arrangements with the Athletic Center Management in order to reserve the desired facilities. A separate Private Party Function sheet must be signed prior to the day of your visit. There are additional rules for private parties.
Paying for Club Services:
Members are to charge Club services to their Member Account. No cash payments are accepted at the Club. In this way, charges will appear on your monthly billing statement. Whenever a Member utilizes a Club service with a fee, they will be asked to sign a charge ticket. Each month the Member will receive a billing statement with all charges incurred at the Club during the month. Payment must be made to the Club within 30 days.
Member Statements:
A statement will be mailed to each Member each month. The statement will set forth all charges incurred through the closing date of such statement and dues for the coming month. Accounts are due and payable upon receipt of each statement. Account statements shall be rendered in RMB. Past due or delinquent accounts will be handled according to the Club Byelaws.
Associate Club Privileges:
A current list of Associate Clubs is maintained by the Receptionist and the Membership Department. In order you to benefit more associate club privileges, we recommend you to make a reservation on www.theclubline.com or contact our membership department to make a reservation for you. You need to present your Capital Club Membership card when you use the Associate clubs.
Dress Code:
Dress in the Club is dependent upon which area of the Club you are using.
For the Capital Club rooms on the 50th Floor, business attire is suggested for men. Ladies are asked to use discretion and dress accordingly. Dress for Sunday Brunch is smart-casual. Clothing such as jeans, T-shirts, jogging/tennis outfits, sneakers, etc. is never appropriate.
While most casual and workout attire is acceptable in the Athletic Center, bare feet, bare chests or swimming suits are not permitted in any areas except the swimming pool area and locker rooms. Men must wear shirts with sleeves in all other areas of the Club. The Club Management shall have sole discretion to determine what is considered appropriate dress for any area of the Club facilities.
Smoking:
According to the relevant government regulations, smoking is not allowed in the Dining Room and Athletic Center.
Parking:
Some parking spaces are available on the road near the Landmark River at the south of Capital Mansion. Member can park cars by presenting the Capital Club Car Park Sticker.

Athletic Center:
- All Members with Athletic privileges will receive a complimentary introduction upon joining. This introduction will include: brief interest questionnaire; brief fitness test; and one hour of individual instruction in the activity of their choice (billiards, bowling, fitness, golf, squash, tennis or swimming).
- Prior to using the Athletic Center facilities, Members will be asked to read and sign a waiver of liability.
- Towels are provided to Members for use in the Club. Towels are available at the Front Desk, Fitness Center and Swimming Pool.
- No food or beverages other than those provided by Club facilities may be consumed on the Athletic Center premises. Please keep all food and beverages off the Billiard Tables and Bowling Lanes, out of the Locker Rooms, Children’s Activity Renter, Fitness Center (enclosed water bottles are allowed), Squash Courts, Swimming Pool, Tennis Court, and Video Room. Consumption of food and beverages is allowed only in designated areas of the Athletic Center.
- No animals are allowed on Club property at any time, with the sole exception of dogs required by the visually impaired.
- All Members are urged to follow the rules and regulations posted throughout the Club facilities and ensure that their guests adhere to them as well.
- If you at any time experience unsatisfactory service, please report it immediately to the manager or other supervisory staff. Management will assess the situation and resolve the problem as quickly as possible.
